Jigsaw Prayers

Back to the September magazine

We received an August Prayer Letter several weeks ago – which was emailed out to all those Kildwick members who could receive it. If you want a paper copy of these, ask Chris  or collect one from church. It is also available online here.

One of the casualties of the lock-down has been the traditional Afternoon Tea, held at the end of August. Our usual collection of hygiene items to send out to Manila has also fallen victim to the disruption.

Our opportunities to help may be curtailed, but the need in Manila is ever more pressing. Programme manager Jenalyn writes:

“Things here are becoming, very, very difficult once again for so many. We are the country with the highest number of covid19 cases in South East Asia and it is getting higher every day. Members in 3 [of our] families have been tested positive and they with their families and friends are now isolated from the community. I have distributed emergency food to the families as they have no funds and no government help.”

If you can offer monetary help, it would be so much appreciated. Sue is acting as the collector for any gifts that you can make. You can contact her, either directly or through the contact page here.

Jenalyn says,

“Thank you for your prayers, gifts and love, they help us so much. Please pray for us for strength and courage, for the funds needed and God’s power for the emergency food plans and for protection of all the families in Area 4 and for all Jigsaw staff and their families too. God be with us all.”
