When the two parishes of Kildwick and Cononley & Bradley began to come together to form a single parish, “The Bridge”, named for the medieval bridge over the Aire at Kildwick was no longer appropriate. Since April 2018, our parish magazine has been entitled, “The Pinnacle” and it carries an image of the Pinnacle on Farnhill Moor.
The Pinnacle stands between the churches of St Andrew, Kildwick and St Mary, Bradley and it looks down, over the valley floor, to St John’s, Cononley.
For several years, we have made this available on the Kildwick website, and so it will continue but as we move into new ways of doing things, perhaps we need to move into doing the magazine in different ways too. A moment when the distribution of our 450+ copies a month will be drastically reduced seems to be a good moment to try out something different.
Let’s see how we go!
